CM – Labor Senator Alex Gallacher dies after fighting lung cancer


Tribute will be paid to Labor Senator Alex Gallacher, who died after almost two years of fighting lung cancer.

Senator Gallagher was 67 years old and « died peacefully » on Sunday, according to a statement by the SA Labor leader Peter Malinauskas.

The Scottish-born former truck driver and trade unionist was first elected to the Senate in 2010.
