Barcelona said that Aguero will officially join the club from July 1st after his contract with Manchester City expires.
He will have a contract until the end of the 2022-23 season with a buyout clause of 100 million euros (US $ 122 million).
The 32-year-old Argentine will be introduced later on Monday from Barcelona. Spanish media said he had undergone medical treatment that morning. He was plagued by fitness problems during his last season at City and had knee surgery last year.
Barcelona missed a real striker like Aguero after letting go of Luis Suarez, who eventually helped Atletico Madrid win the Spanish championship to lead. Lionel Messi flourished as usual and became the top scorer in the Spanish league with 30 goals. However, teammates like Antoine Griezmann, Ousmane Dembele, Martin Braithwaite, Ansu Fati and Francisco Trincao did little to help him.
