MADRID: Barcelona scored two goals in the closing stages for a 3-1 triumph at Villarreal on Saturday when they won away for the first time this season, giving new manager Xavi Hernandez a second straight La Liga triumph.

Memphis Depay left quietly around goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli, scoring a dramatic 88th-minute goal that restored his lead, and Philippe Coutinho added an injury-time penalty as Barcelona advanced to 23 points, seven behind leaders Real Madrid who face Sevilla on Sunday.
