Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live this week promoting Space Jam: A New Legacy and discussing some NBA-related topics.
James featured once during his interview guest host Arsenio Hall expressed his support for Phoenix Suns security guard Chris Paul. He even commented on the 2011 deal that would have sent Paul to the Lakers. Of course, NBA commissioner David Stern then vetoed.
This led Hall to ask about Paul’s future and whether James would like him with the Lakers.
« Could it still happen and would you like to, that it still happens? I know why you’re laughing because that would be manipulation or something if I talk about it, « Hall said.
After sharing a few more laughs, Hall said to James, » You probably can’t talk about it. Of course you would love to play with your boyfriend. We’d love it. ”
James is just showing his support for Paul as both a basketball player and a friend. With that in mind, it would be very interesting to see them on the same team.
While Paul has a $ 44 million player option for the 2021-22 season, there is no guarantee he’ll accept it. If he declines that option, Paul could sign with any team he wants.
