CM – Luxembourg: Waiting time for Covid booster reduced to four months

From January 3rd, fully vaccinated people in Luxembourg can receive their Covid booster four months after their last dose instead of the six months previously notified.

From January 3rd, fully vaccinated people in Luxembourg can receive their Covid booster four months after their last dose instead of the six months previously notified.

A new pop-up vaccination center will also open at Gare Centrale as the government encourages people to get their booster vaccinations.

Starting today, January 3rd, fully vaccinated people can get their Covid booster vaccination four months after their last dose instead of the six months previously communicated.

This applies to people who received two doses of Moderna or BioNTech / Pfizer, as well as people who received a first dose of AstraZeneca and a second dose of an mRNA -Vaccine mixed and matched.

Please note that since December 1st, appointments for booster jabs have been required in the following centers: Victor Hugo (since January 3rd, provisionally at Luxexpo), Esch-Belval, Ettelbruck , Findel (LAR) and Luxemburg-Kirchberg (Luxexpo).

People whose booster vaccination is due will receive an official invitation from the government with instructions on how to make an appointment at one of the above centers or via Pra xis your family doctor can perceive. To reduce waiting times, it is recommended that individuals wait for their invitation by mail before attempting to make an appointment.

Luxembourg residents who have been vaccinated outside the Grand Duchy are asked to go to one of the vaccination centers without an appointment for their booster vaccination.

There is also a hotline available for those who need personal help or additional information about their vaccination situation. The hotline can be reached at (352) 247-65533.

The vaccination pop-up in Luxembourg city center, which closed on December 31, will reopen on January 6 in the Gare Centrale.
