CM – Major delays after a truck was rolled over and spilled on the Melbourne motorway corridor

There are significant traffic delays in southwest Melbourne after a truck rolled down a highway corridor and spilled debris all over the street.

The wool truck rolled down the M80 Ring Road at the airport at around 7am on Monday Drive in Altona and the trailer cut off another car.

All lanes except for one direction Altona will be diverted to Airport Drive and rescue workers will regulate the traffic.

Cars and trucks are pent up and the drivers have been asked to allow a lot of extra time.

The police are investigating the incident to see if the truck was interrupted prior to the collision.

Drivers towards Greensborough can exit the M80 ring road and take the Aiport Drive exit and the driveways drive back in.

The VicRoads signaling team monitors the conditions and adjusts the traffic lights to help with diversions in the area.
