Manchester United have signed Norwegian international Vilde Boe Risa on a two-year contract with an option for another year.
The 26-year-old midfielder has made 37 appearances for Norway since her debut in 2016 and helped them to to reach the quarter-finals of the 2019 World Cup.
« I’m happy to be here with such a big club that I grew up with, » said Boe Risa.
« Manchester United is huge in Norway So coming here and playing for the team now is a dream come true. «
Boe Risa, who has played most of her career in Norway and Sweden, is joining United on a free transfer after her contract at Swedish club Sandviken.
United are still without a manager ahead of the upcoming Women’s Super League 2021-22 campaign after Casey Stoney was eliminated at the end of last season.
