The Marine Police will join an air and sea search using 10 ships and three helicopters for a young fisherman believed to have fallen off a boat in Moreton Bay.

The search for Trent Riley was triggered on Wednesday around 3:30 p.m. when a small aluminum boat was discovered that was sailing uncontrollably with no one on board.

At the time, Trent is said to have worn a long-sleeved gray fisherman shirt, black jeans, black shoes, and a bucket hat.

He is described as a Caucasian, about six feet tall, proportionally built, with a fair complexion and brown hair.

An air and sea search with 10 ships and three helicopters began and lasted into the night for the 26-year-old.
