CM – Mets’ series opening against Rockies postponed due to bad weather

For the second time in a row and for the fourth time since Sunday, the weather has wiped out a scheduled game for the Mets. With snow forecast and cold temperatures, Friday’s Mets / Rockies game was postponed before either team even reported to Coors Field. The teams play a double header from Saturday at 5:10 p.m. Jacob deGrom and Joey Lucchesi are the Mets’ planned starting pitchers for the seven-inning games.

The Mets had rained off their series final against the Phillies on Thursday. The teams were also washed out on Monday, but played a double header the next day. The terrible weather week began on Sunday for the Mets, whose game against the Marlins in the first inning was suspended due to a downpour.

Also, the Mets had postponed their opening three-game series in Washington due to COVID-19 concerns after the Nationals -Players tested positive.
