A model who starred in a Levi ad and later became Madonna’s protégé has died at the age of 59.
Essex-born Nick Kamen was famous for his 1985 Levi’s 501 commercial, in who undressed in a laundromat for Marvin Gaye’s Heard It Through The Grapevine.
Honors have been received for Nick, the real name Ivor Neville Kamen, who is led by Boy George.
Nick retired at 18 Years ago carved a supervisor after stripping himself for the hugely successful Levi ad on his boxers.
The ad sparked a huge spike in sales for Levi and resulted in a countdown to the 100 greatest ads of all time.
It also caught the eye of Madonna, who reached out to Nick with a song she wrote with Stephen Bray to team up.
« Every Time You Break My Heart » reached number five in the UK and led to one successful music career for Nick.
Zwisc In 1987 and 1992 he had four records – including a cover of the 1996 Four Tops hit Loving You Is Sweeter Than Ever.
