World Championship leader Fabio Quartararo catapulted himself to the top of the time charts in both British MotoGP practice sessions on Friday despite a dramatic fall.

The 22-year-old French Yamaha rider injured his left ankle when he slipped at turn eight at Silverstone.

Despite the pain, he still made it to the pits. Limping, he then continued his pace-setting work in the afternoon.

« Bad crash in FP2. Fortunately, I was able to get back on the bike quickly and cross the finish line really well, » tweeted Quartararo.
