CM – Motorcyclist dies on the street in Melbourne after being hit by a car in an accident


A motorcyclist has died on a Melbourne street after being hit by a car in an accident, and police are looking for a vehicle with « significant damage. »

The motorcyclist is due at 1:40 am Thursday on Thompsons Road near the intersection of Lansell Drive in Cranbourne North.

Several witnesses stopped at the scene to help the driver, but he still died on the scene.

It is believed that the vehicle that did not stop is a light-colored Holden Commodore with extensive damage to the driver’s side and rear of the car.

Victoria Police have closed Thompsons Road to the east between Rosebank Drive and Narre Warren Road, while investigating.

The South Gippsland Highway is also city-bound on Thompsons Road and drivers have been told to avoid the area.
