A TikTok trend claiming Friday December 17th is « national school shooting day » has kept schools in the William S. Hart Union High School District on guard despite the threat being invalid and no students should be on campus tomorrow as it is the first day of the winter break.
“Although we have no specific or credible threats against our community or a particular school, we are monitoring the situation and working closely the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Department, ”said David Caldwell, spokesman for the William S. Hart Union High School District. « Also, the Sheriff’s Department will provide additional patrols in our community. »
Students and parents visiting Hart District campuses must check in through the front office, Caldwell said.
