CM – New track layout for the Monaco E-Prix revealed

Today, Formula E, together with the FIA ​​and the Automobile Club de Monaco, announced a new track layout for this year's Monaco E-Prix for May 8th.

Thanks to those achieved during the Gen2 era With a longer track layout, Formula E was able to return to the Monaco E-Prix with increased performance and range. On the 3.32 km long track with 19 corners, the fully electric cars drive up the hill after the first corner in Sainte Devote and complete a new section for Formula E, including famous corners around Casino Square, Mirabeau, the Grand Hotel Hairpin and porter. The LED lights on the halo also light up when the cars drive through the famous Monaco tunnel for the first time.

This year’s edition is the fourth edition of the Formula E event in Monaco. The event will continue to be added to the calendar every two years. The circuit will consist of various curbs in Sainte Devote, just like in 1929, and a change in the chicanes layout at T11 on the harbor front at the exit of the tunnel.

The Monaco E-Prix – Round 7 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship 2020/21 – takes place on Saturday, May 8th at 4:00 p.m. Local time.
