CM – Nigeria v Central African Republic: Okoye out as the Super Eagles begin training


Nigeria’s goalkeeper Maduka Okoye was absent from the team’s first training session before Thursday’s World Cup qualifier against the Central African Republic.

All other invited players took part in the unit supervised by head coach Gernot Rohr.

That Team focused on ball work on the pitch at Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere, Lagos.

Rohr’s men will hold their second warm-up on Wednesday morning as they prepare for Raoul Savoy’s team.

Three days later After their first game against CAR, the Super Eagles will travel to the Accra Sports Stadium for the second leg.

The victory in both games brings the Super Eagles one step closer to the important knockout rounds that Africa’s five flag bearers produce in Qatar will.
