Norwich City have condemned the racist slurs directed against players from both teams after their Premier League defeat at Crystal Palace on Tuesday.
The Norfolk club did not name the players involved, but did Norwich and Republic of Ireland striker Adam Idah (above) shared a series of racist messages on social media following the game at Selhurst Park that ended in a 3-0 defeat for the Canaries.
“The club will continue to support affected players while demanding action from social media companies to ensure that users are held accountable den … the club also reported the incident to the Norfolk Police. «
Norwich added that a person had been identified and an investigation was underway following comments made to Palace players. </ The Palace defeat deepened relegation concerns for Dean Smith's side, who are bottom of the table with 10 points from 19 games – three behind Watford in the safety zone who have played two games more than the Londoners.
