CM – « Norwich striker Pukki hopes to make a strong start to the campaign after the interrupted preseason – tribal football »

Norwich City striker Teemu Pukki is hoping to show his best qualities at the beginning of the new Premier League season.

Pukki admits that the ten-day break in training last season will not be due to a positive COVID-19 test was the ideal preparation for the new campaign.

However, the 31-year-old is hoping to pick up where he left off in his previous Premier League season when he scored eleven goals.

In an interview with the Finnish outlet Viaplay, Pukki said: “My preseason was a little interrupted because I missed 10 days of training because I was infected with Covid.

« I’m still working on finding my touch and learning to play with the new players on the team. »

He added: « I’ve never set myself a personal goal of how many goals to score. I got eleven in the last [Premier League] season and if I can do better I would be happy.

“For me it is more important not to run long runs without goals and to help the team collect enough points. That is my main goal.

“The last time we ran out of gas and we couldn’t fight for our position in the league until the end. Last time in the Premier League we might have attacked too aggressively and our opponents punished us harshly. «
