Tokyo: Incorrect entries in the health status application caused a COVID-19 horror in the Indian camp at the Olympic Games in Tokyo on Wednesday.
However, the deputy head of mission Prem Verma made it clear that no one had symptoms for this Virus and there was no positive case.
IOA President Narinder Batra asked Deputy Chef de Mission Verma for a clear picture after the Health Report App (OCHA) showed three Indian officials with symptoms, but the other app had no such details.
Verma replied that « no one showed symptoms and there was accidentally incorrect entry from first-time users ».
« Incorrect entries in the medical record update. No positive cases. If you received incorrect entries in the medical record update then this leads to an alarm from the software and the CLO receives an email to rectify it.
« For example, if you accidentally record your temperature at 38 degrees Celsius If the infection control software warns CLO. There is no positive case in Team India, « said Verma.

The case was exposed after the first two athletes tested positive in the Olympic Village, the day after a member of their entourage also became infected, officials said on Sunday.
Currently, Indian participation looks like this – hockey (1), boxing (8), table tennis (4), rowing (2), gymnastics (1), swimming (1), sailing (4), fencing (1), civil servants (6).
The organizers did not disclose the identity of the athletes who tested positive. It comes a day after an officer was the first to test positive in the village.
