One person died in a terrible accident on a Melbourne motorway after two vehicles collided and caught fire.
At around 11:20 am on Thursday, a truck and delivery van collided on the M80 ring road near the calder Freeway in Keilor Park.
The only unidentified occupant of the van died on the scene.
The truck driver escaped from his cabin and was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
All Greensborough – Lanes on the M80 Ring Road are closed between Keilor Park Drive and the Calder Freeway.
Drivers should exit at Keilor Park Drive and can take a detour via Calder Freeway or Airport Drive to the M80.
The ambulance service is on site and the police are investigating the circumstances of the clash.
