The Pakistani Mohammad Rizwan and Shaheen Afridi are among the four players nominated for the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy as ICC Player of the Year, along with the Englishman Joe Root and the New Zealander Kane Williamson, reported the daily newspaper The News.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the nominees on Friday as part of the award series for the current year. No Indian player was nominated for the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy.
