CM – Paralympics in Tokyo 2020: Nigeria’s Adesokan takes fourth place in powerlifting


Yakubu Adesokan missed a podium in the men’s powerlifting -49 kg and finished fourth at the Paralympics 2020 in Tokyo with his best strength of 155 kg.

Adesokan tried 161 kg on his last attempt, bronze from Parvin Mammadov from Azerbaijan who lifted 156 kg but failed.

The gold medal was won by Jordans Omar Qarada weighing 173 kg, while the silver medal was won by Le Van Cong from Vietnam.

Ibrahim Dauda will compete in the men’s 59kg race on Friday, while Nnamdi Innocent will compete in the 72kg race on Saturday.
