Kathryn Gallagher had a special date for this year’s Tony Awards – her father Peter Gallagher.

The father-daughter duo walked the red carpet together to meet Kathryns on Sunday evening at the Winter Garden Theater in New York City Nominated Best Actress in a Musical for her role in Jagged Little Pill, Kathryn smoldered in a gorgeous red Derek Lam 10 crosby dress, while Peter wore a classic tuxedo Looked neat.

Kathryn, 28, first celebrated her nomination in October on Instagram, writing, “For the past three years I’ve had the pleasure of working with the best artists I could ever dream of doing a show and that felt like winning the lottery. ”

Unfortunately, it wasn’t Kathryn’s lucky night. She lost to Jagged Little Pill star Lauren Patten.

Kathryn has previously voiced her father’s support over the years. In August, the actress moved into an apartment on the Upper West Side and told the New York Times how Peter was helping her.

« I had my father on FaceTime when I resealed the bathtub and installed an air conditioner », she said. « I think he was prouder of me for installing the air conditioning than my nomination for Tony. » Of course, Peter is no stranger to the Tony Awards, as he was named 35 years ago for his portrayal of Edmund Tyrone nominated in « Long Day’s Journey Into Night ». He eventually lost to John Mahoney for his role in « The Houses of Blue Leaves ».
