CM – Pilot dies in a minor plane crash in NSW despite heroic attempts by neighbors to save him

The plane crashed just before noon on Saturday and went up in flames on a farm on Moomin Road in Rowena, about 140 km west of Moree.

According to police, neighbors tried to catch the pilot in front of the The emergency services arrive to help, but he still died at the scene.

The Australian Transport Safety Bureau will investigate the incident and prepare a report for the coroner.
