A woman’s body was found this morning (December 20th) during a search in Babinda.
At around 2:45 p.m. yesterday, police were informed that a woman had fallen into the water at Babinda Boulders and had not reappeared The police, including the dive team, and the rapid water crews from the Queensland Fire and Rescue Services and state emergency services began a search and rescue operation in the area.
Around 8 a.m., the 19-year-old Edmonton woman’s body found in the water.
The police are in contact with the woman’s family and our thoughts are with them right now.
