West Bromwich: Sam Allardyce will leave relegation from West Bromwich Albion when the unfortunate Premier League season ends on Sunday.
The 66-year-old had talks about his future with Albion following his relegation in early May -Hierarchy.
Allardyce said he has been offered to take responsibility for the championship next season, but he will leave after the last game on Sunday at Leeds.
The former England coach replaced him sacked Slaven Bilic in December, but had a suspension clause in his contract that could be activated when Albion moved into the second division.
It was the first time Allardyce had been relegated from the top in his managerial career.
« West Bromwich Albion made me a generous offer to stay with The Hawthorns, which shows the dedication of an ambitious club. After careful consideration, I have decided not to accept this offer, » said te Allardyce.
« If I stayed next season and got promoted, I would probably go on for at least one more season. Unfortunately, this is not a commitment that I can make at this stage in my career. «
» I think the club needs stability and continuity now. This, in my opinion, should best be done by a young and ambitious manager who can bring us back to where we should be as an established Premier League football club. «
West Brom Sports and Technical Director Luke Dowling , said: « Sam came at a really difficult time for the football club and worked tirelessly to keep the club in the Premier League.
