MONTREAL –
Quebec reported Sunday that 634 more people tested positive for COVID-19, 403 of whom are not fully vaccinated.

Of the new cases, the Ministry of Health said 387 people were unvaccinated, 16 received a dose more than 14 days before their positive test, and 231 received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine more than seven days before their positive test.

The province added four more deaths from the disease and there are now 480 active outbreaks of the novel coronavirus.

Of the six new patients who were checked into a Quebec hospital, four were unvaccinated and two were double-vaccinated more than a week ago. Fifteen people have been discharged from the hospital.

The total number of hospital admissions is now 189. Of these, 42 people are in intensive care units, a decrease of two.

Of those eligible for one dose, 6,822,162 people (91 percent of the population) received a vaccine dose, and 6,557,165 (87 percent) people received both doses.
