Jennifer Lawrence showed her baby bump at the premiere of her new film Don’t Look Up.
The Oscar-winning actress was at the New York premiere of Don ‘ t Look Up, where she donned a floor-length gold dress.
The 31-year-old is expecting her first child with New York art dealer husband Cooke Maroney.
The Hunger Games star also revealed a “personal challenge « To shoot her latest film during Covid – losing a veneer.
» Well, I lost a tooth pretty early on the set, « she told the Associated Press, adding, » And I was able to finish of the movie didn’t go to the dentist, so I had to shoot most of the movie toothless. That was my personal challenge. «
The film, directed by The Big Short filmmaker Adam McKay, plays Lawrence as astronomy student Kate Dibiasky along with Professor Dr. Randall Mindy (Leonardo DiCaprio) when the two discover a comet is direct towards earth.
DiCaprio (47) said on the side of Lawrence: « Talking to people with masks and shields all day … Usually from a creative point of view you always confuse it with the cast and the crew, but we are, you know, we are completely isolated.
« But like I said, it was a great opportunity to work during Covid, to work for all of us, and most importantly, to make a movie in which it about believing in the scientific community. That was the coolest part. ”
The film also stars Meryl Streep, Timothee Chalamet, Cate Blanchett and Tyler Perry, as well as the singers Ariana Grande and Kid Cudi.
Also Sir Mark Rylance, Ron Perlman, Himesh Patel and Melanie Lynskey are part of the star cast.
On his approach to filmmaking, director McKay said: « You know, honestly, I would much rather do stepbrother films for the next 20 years, but the world became like this crazy.
« And we are clearly living in a time of tectonic change. And very scary times, especially when it comes to the climate.
» Yeah, it was easy, you know, those early films that I did Will (Ferrell) made these films were a pleasure.
« So it’s not that I’ve had a personal change. It was more that the world has changed so radically that I, as a filmmaker, cannot ignore it. «
The film is DiCaprio’s first screen appearance since Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time In …
– Don’t Look Up will be showing in select cinemas from December 10th and will be streamed on Netflix from December 24th.
