The Cincinnati Reds and Atlanta Braves have each won 6-2 in their first eight games after the July 30 trading deadline, and both will be looking for a seasoned starter if they clash in Atlanta on Tuesday night.
Reds starter Sonny Gray takes on Tuesday after beating at least six batter in five of his last six starts and receiving 11.4 strikeouts per nine innings this season but allowing 18 runs over 19 innings in his last four starts .
These swings and misses should prove useful against a Braves offensive, which in NL home runs with 1.4 per game took second home with 9.09.
The Reds had before their 3: 2 win against Pittsburgh Pirates on Sunday scored at least four runs in 15 games in a row, although racket Nick Castellanos missed 12 of those games.
With Braves starter Drew Smyly, who has an ERA of 4 in his seven home starts 71 posts and the braves in this one n go 2-5, look for the Reds to continue their playoff push.
