There was much hope that Dallas would have the starting line-up they wanted on offense for their first game of the season. Then, on Thursday, Wideout Amari Cooper tested positive for COVID and will miss out on both the Sunday and Thursday competition. Another hope was that Tyron Smith, who missed the last two games with an ankle injury, would be available with the left tackle.
According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, that won’t happen either. The report says that after ramping up activities during practice this week, he’s still not ready to play a full game and Dallas will go again without him, Terence Steele, who tackled weeks 2 through 6 with the right tackle started while La’el Collins was injured, starts again on the left.

Steele is a 2020 UDFA and McGovern wore the Redshirt in 2019 with a chest injury.
