Before signing with the Los Angeles Lakers, Kent Bazemore waived a more lucrative offer from the Golden State Warriors.

Bazemore turned down more money and years (two) from the Warriors, sources say, but believes he will have a bigger role and opportunity to win a championship with the Lakers. Bazemore is betting on himself. Https://

The 32-year-old Bazemore signed with the Warriors last November and is returning to the team he started his NBA career with in 2012. Coincidentally, that previous tenure ended in February 2014 when he joined the Lakers.

While the Warriors’ figure is set to improve with the return of injured veteran Klay Thompson, it seems clear that Bazemore is putting more emphasis on to win an NBA title he has so far eluded.

Bazemore’s contract is only for one year and his role on the team is uncertain. The Lakers’ tight wage cap has resulted in the addition of many budget-friendly veterans.

Over the course of his career, Bazemore has produced modest numbers. He has career averages of 8.5 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. He missed an impressive 40.8 percent last season.

Exactly how much money Bazemore wasted is currently unknown, but if the Lakers manage to win a championship it will be well worth the investment .

The franchise’s evolution into a popular and iconic franchise among its fan base since that memorable year has allowed a broader perspective to be included in his writings on the team’s current fortunes.

A new report from ESPN insider Adrian Wojnarowski suggests that veteran striker Carmelo Anthony could sign with Los Angeles.
