CM – Retaliatory killing in DeSoto due to false identity and « internet rumors, » police say


The DeSoto police have linked two murders that took place days apart, on Thursday April 22nd and Sunday April 25th.

Police said the second murder happened, when the suspect « mistakenly believed the internet rumors about the identity of his brother’s killer ». DeSoto police said 19-year-old Camran Kashawn Collier was in the driver’s seat of his Honda Accord on the 1100 block of Westlake last Thursday Drive found shot.
