Students will return to classrooms across New South Wales in the fourth semester – but not all at once and not immediately.
7NEWS believes that a staggered approach to face-to-face learning is being considered before the end of the year.
According to the plan, schools would not reopen once the fourth semester begins, which is about five weeks away.
According to NSW Health’s latest weekly monitoring report, children were as young as 12 up to 17 years behind the second highest number of cases.
