CM – Rockies vs. Cardinals Prediction: Take the Home Team

The Colorado Rockies have the MLB’s worst road record this season at 6:31, but took fourth place home wins at 27 on Wednesday and will look to add another on Thursday against the struggling St. Louis Cardinals .

Rockies starter Antonio Senzatela is 0-4 with a 6.35 ERA in six starts with opponents who beat .341 from him. In his last eight home starts he has a 2.90 ERA with only three allowed homers in 49² / ning innings.

Opposite him is Adam Wainwright, who allowed a 6.31 ERA from St. Louis with six homers and 11 allowed Walks in 25² / ₃ innings over five starts. Opponents beat .272 of him on the road versus .205 at home.

The Cardinals competed Wednesday after scoring four or fewer runs in 15 of their last 17 games. The only team in MLB with a worse street shot average are the Rockies.

With the Rockies tied with the Reds for most runs per game on Wednesday and the Cardinals lost nine of their last 10 street games, the Rockies should open the series with a win.
