The Roosters have moved their Round 16 blockbuster fight against the storm to Newcastle as a result of the escalating COVID outbreak in Sydney.
The game will now be played at McDonald Jones next Thursday, July 1st Stadium instead of SCG.
« People in the Hunter region love the rugby league, so it was an easy decision to bring our home game to Newcastle in Round 16, » said Roosters coach Trent Robinson.
« We always love traveling to Newcastle and playing at the McDonald Jones Stadium, so we look forward to hosting this on-site game for all of Newcastle’s passionate rugby league fans, including our Roosters members and supporters from the Region that will benefit from the fact that this is a real home game for them. «
