After Wake Forest 14-7 early in the second quarter on Friday, a little trick resulted in a scoring drive for the Scarlet Knights.
On a second and 7 from the Wake Forest 37-yard line, Rutgers threw quarterback Noah Vedral made a backward pass to WR Isaiah Washington, who spun and threw across the field to an open Johnny Langan.
Langan, with a lot of open space ahead of him, took a downfield block from Vedral and tiptoed to the Sideline before being thrown out at the 11-yard line.
The game resulted in a 29-yard field goal from Rutgers kicker Valentino Ambrosio to reduce Wake Forest’s lead to 14-10 .
