« They were great kids, but now they’re phenomenal mothers, » said the Duchess of York of her daughters, who both became mothers that year.
The women of the York family have had a great year. In February, Princess Eugenie and husband Jack Brooksbank gave birth to their first child, a young boy named August Philip Hawke Brooksbank. The family welcomed another new addition just last month when Eugenie’s sister, Princess Beatrice, also had her first child, a little girl named Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi, who in turn made her mother, Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, twice a grandmother.
The loving new grandmother is visibly delighted with this turn of events and seems to be beaming with maternal pride in her girls. « My children are phenomenal mothers. They were great children, but now they are phenomenal mothers. And now I have these two extraordinary grandchildren all in one year, » the Duchess said to Hello! « You know it’s pretty incredible, but everyone is asking me, ‘How are your grandchildren?’ Well, first I see my girls as wonderful mothers and then I see these incredible beings. «
Of course she is also very proud of the youngest members of the family. And while baby Sienna is still new born, her older grandson appears August to build a special bond with his maternal grandmother.
« It’s so funny because when August smiles at me now because he’s seven and a half months old, you actually know he really likes you, » she shared is not a fake smile, he really thinks I’m very funny, which is very lucky. «
