LOS ANGELES: San Antonio used an even attack on Saturday (Sunday in Manila) to beat reigning NBA champion Milwaukee Bucks by 102-93 and make a four-game loser with their first road win of the season .
Point guard Dejounte Murray and reserve Bryn Forbes led the attack as five players, including two from the bench, scored double digits for the Spurs, who improved to 2-4 over the season.
Murray hit a team high of 23 points, Forbes had 16, Derrick White came up with 17 and Keldon Johnson finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds for the Spurs. Thaddeus Young came off the bench to score 10.
« I love having the ball no matter what, » said Murray, who finished with nine assists. “I’m proud to be a pass first point guard, but also to be ready when my number is called.”
Giannis Antetokounmpo scored 28 points and 13 rebounds for the injured Bucks Brook Lopez (Back), Jrue Holiday (ankle) and Donte DiVincenzo (ankle surgery) were absent.
The Spurs played the third game of a road trip and had a disappointing 104-99 loss to Dallas.
