More rainy weather is forecast for the Lower West, South West and Perth Metropolitan Areas this afternoon as residents are urged to prepare their homes for heavy rain and high winds.
A severe weather warning applies to parts of the Perth Metropolitan, South West, Great Southern, Goldfields-Midlands regions.
According to the Bureau of Meteorology, this is the typical weather for this time of year, but the strong winds can cause property damage and the Endanger road conditions.
On July 8, 2021 3:03 p.m., the Bureau of Meteorology announced that a cold front would cross southwestern WA on Friday afternoon. HEAVY RAINFALL, which can lead to FLASH FLOODING, is likely to develop from late Friday morning. The situation should relax late on Friday evening.
