While fans wait to see India and Pakistan at the ICC T20 World Cup, Pakistani pace veteran Mohammad Amir has named Indian bowler Jasprit Bumrah as the « best in the T20 » format. He also considers his comparison with Shaheen Afridi to be premature.
Amir shared his thoughts and explained that it would be wrong to compare Bumrah with Shaheen, since the Pakistani wind player is still young and has to learn and develop more. Amir also praised the sailor as the best in the country while calling Bumrah the best death over bowler in the world in T20 cricket.
« You see, to compare Shaheen to Bumrah at this point would be foolish because Shaheen is young is and he learns. And Bumrah has been doing well for India for such a long time and right now I think he’s the best T20 bowler, especially in the times of death, « claimed Amir while speaking on the YouTube channel called Uncut.
Amir continued to express his point of view, saying that Shaheen is Pakistan’s best bowler right now, considering how he’s been playing over the past year or a year and a half. If you look at his performance, it seems like a good competition, he added. He also mentioned that Bumrah bowls brilliantly with the new ball, while Shaheen is the best among youngsters when the ball is new.
For fans around the world, the competition between Bumrah and Afridi will be one of the most important battles to watch out for. It takes place in Dubai when India meets Pakistan at the T20 World Cup on Sunday October 24th.
During the interaction, Amir claimed that Pakistan will have an advantage over India in the fast-bowling division keeping an eye on both teams’ bowling attacks. He later mentioned that India’s weirdos were superior to their opposition.
