CM – TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: Check out the character descriptions for Seth Rogen’s hero in a half-shell

With the new CGI restart of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in the works of Nickelodeon and Paramount, we now have an official look at the character descriptions for each of the four ninja brothers.

Last year it was announced that Seth Rogen’s production company Point Gray Pictures is leading a fresh start for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The CGI movie is slated to hit the big screen, but with the recent changes in streaming in the pandemic, that remains to be seen.

Nickelodeon and Paramount Pictures, who are partnering with Rogen on this project, leave plenty of room for great hijinks with the heroes in a half-shell. Now we have a bit more information on what to expect upon the reboot.

With character breakdowns for all four turtles, fans old and new have an idea of what to expect when it comes to the main characters. What is interesting is that with every description, fear or discomfort is revealed in every psyche of the turtles, which makes the film all the more interesting to watch.

Starting with the pack leader, we learn from Leo’s inner struggle that his brothers need him while he fears that they will find out that he needs them more.

« The team leader. Leo is purely business, all a killer, no filler – except when he boasts and describes himself with stupid sentences like » all killer no filler « . « He takes care of keeping the » team « on the mission and tells himself that without him his brothers would be lost.

He’s not the strongest (Ralph) or the smartest (Donnie) or the funniest (Mikey), but he’s the hardest working turtle boy and he’s proud of it. His brothers can resent his good attitude and the lectures that came with it, even if they know he is right. Leo’s greatest fears are that his brothers will realize that he needs them more than they need him. «

Meanwhile, Raph seems to be resolving his problems with anger, and it is made clear that while challenging his brother’s leadership, he would be lost in the position itself.

» The hothead. Raph likes to break s ** t. Whether with his fists or with someone else’s fists when he throws them through a glass window. Ralph tends to be emotional when he’s overwhelmed, but he’s actually very confident and working on it. With his hands in his pockets, his arms crossed, and his sullen face, he can brood a little.

But beneath its impenetrable exterior is a soft, sensitive turtle cub who is just looking for someone to open up to. Ralph, who would hate ANY person in authority, is annoyed with Leo’s leadership and says he should be in charge. His secret shame? He knows deep down that he wouldn’t know how to run the team if it ever came to that. «

When it comes to Mikey, it’s no surprise that the turtle displays a carefree demeanor, but it also turns out that his greatest weakness is that his brothers secretly tease him, which secretly bothers him the most .

« The idiot. With rare exceptions – doesn’t take anything seriously. It might come across as reluctance or idiocy, but it actually comes from a place of wisdom and confidence. (Know yourself?) Mikey has his priorities in order, and living and living in the present is at the top of the list. He loves people and is infinitely curious, which leads to him having long conversations with complete strangers.

He’s the friend you tell your full life story about within minutes of meeting. He may not be good at martial arts training, or waking up on time, or even hygiene, but he is an endless source of positivity that his brothers often take for granted. Mikey is teased the most by his brothers, and although he always laughs at it. It’s about him deep down. «

Finally, Donny holds onto his nerdy place on the team. He knows he’s the smartest of the pack, but he fears that his intellect will be challenged and leave him without purpose if he has to join another group.

« The intellectual. It feels like he’s Matt Damon out hunting for goodwill. His brothers make fun of him for being academic. They acknowledge that his intelligence is useful, but do not value it as much as he feels he deserves it. However, its intelligence also has its drawbacks. Sometimes his intellectual self-confidence can be perceived as arrogance, and his extreme pragmatism sometimes reads as cold.

It’s not that he doesn’t care. His brain thinks so many steps ahead about such complicated things that it is often paralyzed with indecision. He can talk himself into something just as easily as he can talk himself out of it. Donnie knows he’s smart, but his secret fear, which he would never admit out loud, is that he fears he won’t be able to keep up if he’s ever with people on his level. And if he’s not as smart as he thought … what is he? «

What do you think of these descriptions? Do they feel like the turtles you know, or would you change something? Leave your thoughts in the usual place!
