CM – Tenpin Bowling Australia Add Wallaby Matt To’omua to Board – Department of Sports


Enpin Bowling Australia (TBA) has announced that Australian wallaby player and Melbourne Rebels captain Matt To’omua will join its board of directors.

In a statement, TBA chairman Jerome Joseph said that To ‘Omua’s experience « will provide a unique ability to control [bowling], » citing his experience as President of the Rugby Union Players Association and Player Director of Rugby Player Welfare.

In that role, To’omua will help improve of the TBA High Performance Program and support initiatives to modernize the Constitution.

« I will try to capitalize on my experience in high performance both as a player and as President of the Rugby Union Players Association, » said To’omua.

« I am very happy to be able to continue as an athlete and at board level.

 » I have great ambitions to be involved in sports administration after my active career, and I see this as an exciting part of this journey, « he said.

Baden Stephenson, Rebels CEO, said, » We are delighted with Matt’s appointment to TBA and it is great to see our Melbourne Rebels players like us interact with other skills in other sports. « 

The appointment of To’omua is one of TBA’s recent front office moves, with Rohan O’Neill as Chief Executive and Damien Smith as Chief Operating Officer earlier this week has been appointed.
