With just a few weeks to go until the cinema release, The Matrix Resurrections has now introduced a new interactive experience with Unreal Engine 5 that fans can access for free.
The announcement came in the form of a new teaser clip with Matrix’s traditional features green scrolling text, followed by an appearance by a highly realistic computer-generated version by Keanu Reeves, who asks the question “How do we know what is real?”. Not much has been revealed about the interactive connectivity at this point, but it will be one of the first opportunities for next-gen gaming fans to see what Unreal Engine 5 has to offer on their consoles. According to the video, more details about The Matrix Awakens will be revealed during the Game Awards 2021, currently slated for December 9th.
Those interested can visit the Unreal Engine 5 website, which now has pre-release versions for both Matrix Awakens for the Sony PlayStation 5 as well as for the Xbox Series X / S are available.
Elsewhere in the entertainment industry, Gal Gadot will appear in the upcoming Cleopatra with Kari Skogland, director of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
