The Kenyan Angela Tanui has the best time of the season in the race of 2:20:08, which is also her personal best.
Only four runners in the top 10 of the personal bests set their fastest time in the last two years – the second fastest among them is the Ethiopian Workenesh Edesa, who ran 2:20:24 in Valencia in 2019.
Her compatriot Sutume Kebede last ran tes year 2:20:30 a.m. at the Tokyo Marathon, while Kenyan Diana Chemtai Kipyogei ran 2:22:06 a.m. in Istanbul in 2020.
