CM – The school ran into a police emergency when the roads near Brisbane were closed


A number of streets in Logan, south of Brisbane, have been closed while police respond to an incident.

Police issued an emergency under the law in Woodridge on Tuesday due to an « ongoing police incident » in Woodridge Conservation of Public Safety proclaimed.

It includes Woodridge Ambulance Station, but the emergency operations at the facility are not affected by the incident.

Nearby Harris Fields State School has warned students to avoid the area , especially Smith Road between Wentworth Street and Ewing Road.

« If your child takes this route, please pick them up from school, » read a Facebook post from the school.

« To avoid traffic jams at 2:30 p.m., you may want to pick up your child (s) from the office early. »
