CM – The world’s largest private hospital ship is docking in Antwerp this weekend

The largest private hospital ship in the world, Global Mercy, will enter the port of Antwerp on Sunday, September 12th.

The ship passed the Suez Canal with no problems after it left the shipyard in China in late July had left and had successfully completed the mandatory sea trials, according to a press release from the port.

With a length of 174 meters, a beam of 28.6 meters and a gross tonnage of 37,000, the Global Mercy is a unique ship f in the passenger class.

It has six operating theaters, 200 beds, a laboratory, general polyclinics as well as eye and dental clinics.

The ship’s first port of call will be in Dakar, Senegal in spring 2022.
