CM – There is nothing going on outside of London other than rent

According to Rightmove, asking prices for rents outside of London have topped an average of £ 1,000 a month for the first time.

The property website said asking rents in city centers across the UK are gradually recovering as more and more People are planning to move around town as more parts of the economy open up.

Excluding London, the median rental price in the second quarter of this year was £ 1,007, up from £ 982 in the first quarter.

Rightmove had a flood earlier in the year reported of rental homes entering the market as many tenants moved out of cities during the coronavirus pandemic.
