ORLANDO, Fla. – Images of Tiger Woods riding a golf cart through the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club sparked a predictable buzz and an equally predictable monsoon of speculation that a comeback to the PGA Tour is imminent. </ Woods largely dismissed the idea of a full comeback shortly after Friday's Pro-Am round at the unofficial PNC championship, citing a lack of stamina and speed in his swing.
He pointed out that he wouldn’t be able to run 18 holes on the Ritz-Carlton layout, which is relatively flat and nowhere near healthy enough to play a 72-hole Tour event. Given his current physical limitations following the February car accident that required multiple surgeries on his right leg, Woods was asked if he had ever considered asking the tour to use a golf cart for official events.

« No. I wouldn’t, no. No no way. Not for a PGA Tour event, no. I’m just not, » Woods said. « I wasn’t always like that, even when I wasn’t up Can play that level, I can’t play that level. «
Casey Martin, a former Woods teammate at Stanford, successfully sued the PGA Tour in 2001 for using a golf cart at events, and recently John was allowed to play Daly using a cart to play the 2019 PGA championship.
However, Woods said that using a cart this week at the PNC championship he plays with his son is different from a regular tour -Event.
« It’s a fun event. There are guys around 80 playing out here and if they didn’t have carts we couldn’t see people like Lee Trevino out here, » Woods said to be able to play your child, you can do this with a cart. ”
