CM – To Your Eternity Anime gets the second series in autumn 2022

The official website for the TV anime of Yoshitoki Ōima’s Manga To Your Eternity (Fumetsu no Anata e) announced on Monday that the anime will get a second series in the fall of 2022.

The anime premiered on April 12 on NHK Educational. The anime was originally scheduled to premiere last October, but has been postponed to April 2021 as the anime’s production schedule has been badly affected by the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19). Crunchyroll is streaming the anime.

Masahiko Murata (Naruto Shippūden, Baby Steps) directs the anime at Brains Base. Shinzō Fujita (Shin Megami Tensei Devil Children, Duel Masters Cross) wrote the scripts for the series and Koji Yabuno (Space Brothers, Naruto Shippūden: Blood Prison) designed the characters. Ryo Kawasaki (Fate / Grand Order Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia, Muhyo & Roji’s Bureau of Supernatural Investigation) composes the music and Takeshi Takadera directs the sound.

Ōima published the manga in Weekly Shōnen Magazine in November 2016. The first arc of the manga ended in December 2019 and the second arc started in January 2020. The manga won the Best Shōnen Manga Award at the 43rd annual Kodansha Manga Awards in May 2019. The manga was also in the Young.
