CM – Tornado clock on display in Lafayette County – The Oxford Eagle

The National Weather Service has released a Lafayette County tornado clock that will expire at 7:00 p.m. CST tonight.

According to the NWS, severe thunderstorms will range from parts of the lower Mississippi Valley to the Tennessee Valley today forecast that could bring harmful gusts of wind, some tornadoes and hail in the afternoon and evening.

Two more storm systems will hit the western United States today through Friday with heavy coastal rain and additional snow in the mountains.

Check and Discuss your contingency plans and review supplies and your safe space. Be ready to act quickly if an alert is issued or if you suspect a tornado is approaching.
