A seven-year-old boy has died in east Victoria, which police say will be a tragic start to the year 2022.
Police search and rescue divers found Sunday morning while searching for a child who was swimming in the snowy River was missing in Jarrahmond on New Years Day, a body.
The boy was swimming with a group of four when he started to stay afloat and disappeared around 6 p.m.
Later on Sunday morning Emergency services called to Princetown, western state, after three men got into trouble in rough water east of the mouth of the Gellibrand River.
